Florian Postel works as an Advisor in development cooperation at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), focusing on climate and energy policy. In his current role with the Climate Diplomacy Action Programme, his work centres on the climate–security nexus. Previously, he worked for several years in India on renewable energy projects, with a particular focus on agri-photovoltaics, clean cooking, and solar-powered irrigation. He holds a Master of Science in Environment, Politics and Society from University College London and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Mannheim.
