Putra Maswan is a Finance and Economics Analyst at the Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR), Indonesia, specializing in climate finance, energy transition, and sustainable economic development. He has over three years of experience conducting policy and economic analysis and working with government institutions, development partners, international organizations, and civil society. He has contributed to studies with the Ministry of Investment (BKPM) on the economic impacts of Indonesia’s energy transition and with the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas) on empowering green MSMEs and sustainable business development in Indonesia. His work involves research, stakeholder engagement, and developing evidence-based policy recommendations to support Indonesia’s energy transition. He has also engaged in regional discussions on climate and sustainable finance, including as a facilitator at the 2nd Asian Strategic Meeting on International Finance Architecture in Tokyo.
