Weathering Risk Peace Pillar
When: 23 October 2025 | 14:20 - 14:40
Format: Spotlight session
Venue: Plenary (Weltsaal)
Hosted by: adelphi global
This spotlight session brings to life the transformative impact of the Weathering Risk Peace Pillar through fresh evaluation evidence from across five fragile contexts—Nigeria, Somalia, Yemen, Iraq, and the Bay of Bengal. The session will feature a deep dive into the Nigeria programme, where inclusive dialogues between farmers and herders produced climate-sensitive peace agreements that reduced violent clashes, revitalised local economies, and established scalable governance models now expanding statewide and cross-border.
Building from this concrete example, the conversation will headline five strategic lessons emerging from the cross-project synthesis. Designed to energise current and prospective partners alike, this session demonstrates with compelling evidence and vivid stories that the Peace Pillar model is not merely effective—it is essential for navigating today's converging crises and represents a proven investment ready for scaling.
