Mohammed Bukar serves as the Field Research Coordinator for UNIDIR's Managing Exits from Armed Conflict project in North-eastern Nigeria, leading a team that has conducted thousands of interviews with respondents. With over 8 years of experience working for government agencies and international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) in Nigeria, Mohammed has managed various surveys and research projects focused on conflict-related issues, including armed group association and community reintegration of former members of armed groups. He has personally interviewed hundreds of individuals who have exited Boko Haram. He is currently based in Maiduguri, northeastern Nigeria, where he continues to work on the front lines for the MEAC research project.
