Mohammad Shehadat is a Syrian peacebuilder, youth advocate, and founder of the Youth for Peace Initiative, based in Geneva. With lived experience of displacement, he works at the intersection of peacebuilding, education, youth participation, and human rights. He has worked with the Kofi Annan Foundation and engages with international youth networks including UNESCO’s SDG 4 Youth & Student Network. Through initiatives such as 100 Global Citizens, he empowers displaced and host-community youth through global citizenship education, intercultural dialogue, and leadership. His current interests include the nexus between climate change, conflict, displacement, and youth-led peacebuilding, particularly in Syria and the wider MENA region.
