Kristen Petillon is the Business Engagement Lead at PeaceNexus Foundation, where he works to align corporate and investment practices with conflict sensitivity, foster positive social impact, and promote responsible investment in fragile and high-risk markets. He also oversees the Foundation’s mission-aligned and impact investments. With over a decade of experience at the United Nations, he has a strong background in political affairs, diplomacy, and humanitarian coordination, with assignments in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Somalia, and at UN Headquarters in New York. Kristen also brings extensive experience in business development and financing, managing partnerships and large-scale infrastructure projects in fragile settings. His passion lies at the intersection of sustainability, innovative financing, and the private sector, with a focus on advancing economic and social progress in fragile regions. He holds a Master’s in International Law and Humanitarian Affairs from the University of Aix-en-Provence and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Sherbrooke.
