Colonel-Major Mahamadou Seidoou Magagi is the Director of the National Center for Strategic and Security Studies (CNESS) since 2018. He previously served as an officer in the Nigerian Armed forces and has held several positions at the national level, most recently as Director of Military Engineering (2014-2016), and Aide-de-Camp to the President of the Republic of Niger (2016-2017). He has participated in several operations both inside and outside Niger, including the United Nations Operation in Côte d'Ivoire (2004-2005), within the United Nations Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (2007-2008). He holds several military qualifications and holds an engineering degree in public works and buildings, and a master in Strategic Security Studies.
