Tools for ensuring resilience in climate security practice – what works for whom and why?

This side event session explores practical approaches to integrating climate-security considerations into training, exercise, and operations. Participants will review and compare a range of existing tools and frameworks - including a dedicated guidance note on climate-security mainstreaming - assessing their respective strengths, limitations, and contextual fit. Through guided discussion and structured questions, participants will critically examine how these tools can be adapted and applied within missions and operations, identifying entry points, practical constraints, and opportunities for integration into existing training and planning processes.
