Jesuino de Oliveira Alves is Counsellor and Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Timor-Leste to the UN. A career Timorese diplomat with 17 years of experience and occupied various key positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Timor-Leste. Proven ability of analytical thinking and dealing with complex negotiations in promoting peace and reconciliation, particularly within the framework of the implementation of the recommendations of the Bilateral Commission for Truth and Friendship between Indonesia and Timor-Leste.
