Eva Svoboda is the Director of International Law and Policy at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Geneva. With over two decades of humanitarian experience, she has held leadership roles with the ICRC in conflict-affected regions including Kashmir, Sudan, Myanmar, Iraq, East Timor, DRC, and Algeria. Before joining the ICRC, Eva worked with the Swiss Development Agency and various NGOs. She has also served as a Senior Research Fellow at the Humanitarian Policy Group (HPG) at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) in London, and as a senior expert for detainees and missing persons at the United Nations Office of the Special Envoy for Syria. Eva is recognised for her expertise in humanitarian policy, international law, and protection in crisis settings.
