Sophie works as a Scientist and Project Coordinator at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) in the working group “Adaptation in Agricultural Systems”. She coordinates various projects and conducts research on climate change impacts on agricultural value chains and the uptake of respective adaptation strategies. Before joining PIK, Sophie worked for the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) specializing in disaster risk reduction in agriculture with a focus on climate risks. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International Affairs and a Master of Science (MSc) in Environment and Development.
