H.E. Patrizia Danzi is the State Secretary and Director-General of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC, FDFA, Switzerland. Danzi has extensive experience in development cooperation. She has worked for the ICRC since 1996, initially as a delegate in Africa, South America and the Balkans, and was appointed deputy head of the Horn of Africa Division in 2004. She then worked as a political adviser to the ICRC's head of operations. In 2008 she took over the management of operations on the American continent. For the last four years, Danzi has been regional director for Africa at the ICRC’s headquarters in Geneva. She took up her post at the SDC in 2020.
